The British Cemetery Bazaar

Mike buying a (British) Christmas cake from Becca; we also had a cup each of her mulled wine. And a great stack of books from another stall, plus a potato peeler, three old mince pie tins (which I've been unable to find here), and a pair of pyjama trousers for Mike.

Then a long lunch with everyone, where we sat between two equally amazing and aristrocatic ladies, one English, and one Dutch, straining to hear their softly spoken stories amidst the hubbub.

Then straight to Portel to visit Margreth (and Gören) in her new care home.

Strange start to Advent, where we didn't even manage to go to church (though we tried).

Gratefuls:
- safely driving several hours along some quite dangerous roads at times
- Julia being offered a job at Good Hope Hospital
Deb's Blip of our three grandkids in the Portuguese pj's I sent them

And, here (see her link below), an excellent resource she's created for Advent, one activity per week, so still time, and good to use with kids, if you wanted. Especially like the idea of a reverse Advent Calendar, where instead of getting chocolates, you gather items for your nearest Food Bank.
