Festive fruit

'Stir-up Sunday' tomorrow, a little late but better late than never, so it must be 'Soaking Saturday' today!

Here's the obligatory photo of the fruit and nuts for the Christmas puddings, soaking in alcohol (brandy, rum and Guinness) and looking festive in my big green salad bowl. In the mixing bowl is the fruit for the cake, soaking in brandy and orange juice. There's a Christmassy aroma wafting round the kitchen!

It may prove  a little ambitious doing puddings and the cake on the same day, but needs must...
