In less than an hour

The day started relatively peacefully, despite me having the worst nights sleep in a while. No idea why, just couldn’t get my head to switch off.

There were a few pretty heavy showers throughout the morning and then all hell broke loose. Hail, torrential rain, and crazy wind caused mayhem.

My drive home required a couple of u-turns after finding roads totally blocked. One tree had taken out part of a roof, verandah from a home, and also managed to land on three cars, along with debris from the perimeter wall.

It’s going to take days to clear the fallen trees, the almost knee deep leaves and branches, but hopefully the mounds of hailstones will sort themselves out as the temperature has dropped about 15C.
