Reindeer
Did what has become our usual sunday routine - up to do the hens and put down more rat bait. Only one of the tunnels into the hen enclosure redug - I'm winning against the rats! Then it was to Cotehele and today we went along the stream to the weir as I wanted to walk along the fairy lights! Not only lights leading to the Mill but reindeer too! All of them! Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph! They were all variously decorated with a scarf, cape, hat, ribbons, baubles or bells. Oscar gave the first few a good sniff - probably as other dogs had used them as a pee spot! It was a very cold morning but that didn't put people off - I've never seen so many people on this stretch! Everyone getting into the Christmas spirit! Oscar was spoilt with attention and was very well behaved! I stopped to buy something from the wood carving workshop and the owner took photos of him! They always say it's for their son/daughter!
Once home I cleared the front garden of leaves on the steps and ivy growing up the house walls. Then cleared the back garden and sorted pots to plant my bulbs in. They had already started growing roots and some even the tips of green leaves! As we are due frost this week thought I'd better get them in - but ran out of "Oomph" so bulb planting will be done tomorrow!
