First snow

A few flakes of snow started just before I left the house this morning. By the time I had walked to work my black coat was looking fairly white. My collage shows the progression of the snow on my route. Even the Gormley in the Water of Leith was starting to look a bit more snowman-like.

Once I was inside, the snow soon stopped but it was fairly chilly all day and I didn’t manage to get out again until I left for home in the dark. Then it was a question of avoiding the slippery icy patches on some of the pavements.

Winter is here!
