First frost here

Giving the birds lots of extra rations - especially the ground feeders with their disgusting dried mealworms. Going out several times a day. The birds all flit off for a few moments when I go out - except robin who is so unafraid of me and stays put. I like that, it seems so friendly. There’s a real affinity between robins and gardeners I think.
The pic is of the old sedum spectabile flowers and a bit of jasmine. I haven’t cleared away any old growth. I tell myself it’s to leave plenty of habitat for overwintering insects. But maybe I was just disorganised this year:)
