Are these the best lights in the country?

A morning spent cutting off Hydra’s heads. Not sure if there should be an apostrophe in Hydra; I’ve put one anyway.

The afternoon was spent ferrying Doreen to and from the hospital for her monthly eye tests then having a up of tea with a biscuit and helping frustrating conversations with her about all manner of things.

We did get out in the early evening as the frost as beginning to bite. A few Christmas lights about, not so many yet as last year. The owners are collecting donations for Demelza House, a local children’s hospice.

I’m on duty at Wittersham Road Signalbox tomorrow for the Santa Specials. There’s been a problem between Wittersham and Northiam today, who knows what I might find there when I turn up in the morning
