Chateau Thurnham
A day of two halves. This morning, wet and grey when we set off walking to visit a craft fair in aid of St Mary’s Church in Thurnham. I’ve blipped the outside of the church and the churchyard before but never been inside. It’s one a group of churches known as the North Downs Churches.
From there we walked home through the vineyards which now blanket several miles of the North Downs. It really was this grey.
By the time we were nearly home the sun had come out and temperatures risen a good few degrees. We were rather warm in our wet weather gear.
This afternoon was a very enjoyable Allotment Christmas dinner with 25 people attending. Food was good, company was excellent.
Doreen was discharged from hospital this morning so after the Christmas lunch we called in to see her. It’s going to take time for her to regain strength but at least she’s in s better place for personal care than she was in hospital.
