State Library
North Terrace in Adelaide is a jewel - so many Victorian buildings and all in pristine condition. And there is nowhere more beautiful than the Mortlock Wing in the State Library. You can get up to the first gallery, but the second gallery is closed off to the public and that's a great shame - for me at any rate.
Do you suppose that if I promised on a stack of bibles that I wouldn't touch anything, they'd let me have a look? No, I don't think that would work either.
The Mortlock is held to be one of the most beautiful libraries in Australia- and I can't disagree with that.
