Angel

Slept much better, then read through Board papers and sorted some stuff out before V arrived to collect the car and we had a good chat and catch up over some tea and delicious almond croissants.
Walked briskly down to meet G and R over coffee… much better conversation and G and I felt more optimistic about next steps.
Dashed back up home for the preBoard chat, packing and some lunch, then down again (like a yo-yo today!) to catch the train down to London. Long straightforward trip, and arrived to find excited children (or, in Mx’s case, an excited angel practising for the nativity play!)
Lay with each of them for a while at bedtime and Max talked nonstop with his usual stream of consciousness chat, starting each sentence with ‘Did you know…..?’….hilarious stuff. ‘Did you know my Dad used to be in a band and then was a scientist and is now my Dad?’ Fab…!
Once they were asleep Mt and I had some pizza and salad and he talked about options at work - weighing up being in a more interesting team but with bucket loads more stress….as if there isn’t enough already!
H came back from her evening out with her volunteering group and I passed on all the info about clinical psych training…. Lots of options!
