A local Winter Story

We decided that some Christmas type shopping was required.

We bought cards and books at the Dark Peak Bookshop and by chance got to hear a story being read outside.

Many shops in the town have a story board in the window and today there was a reading at each venue. There is a trail to follow around the town.

Some are poetic, some fantasy and others mini-history. extra photo is at Mettrick renowned Butchers, we liked the fact that in olden days it was possible to place a bet while the butcher prepared your meat :-)
