Ullswater

A quick run into town to catch the bank before it closed. I lasted about 20 minutes, it was was far too nice to hang around and so headed out for a walk up Gowbarrow. As I took this I could hear the wing beats on the water of four swans taking off from the lake far down below.
I won’t be buying any YakTrax again. This is the second pair I’ve got through and each pair hasn’t survived more than a couple of walks, so I called in at Go Outdoors on my way back and bought chains which I hope will be a bit more durable.
Home to try to put some paperwork in order.
