Diary of an Edinburgher

Hamish!

Heavy snow falling this morning, but JR set off to the gym with her gym buddy, but she very soon came back. There were no buses in sight, and it could have got worse. She had a relaxing morning instead. I think it might be the same tomorrow morning too.

I also had a relaxing morning, though I did have half an hour on my bike. Archie went out with Elizabeth in the afternoon, and by that time the sun was out and it was a lovely day. We got videos of Archie rolling around and gambolling in the snow, happy as Larry, with no coat on.

In the evening we popped up to visit Hamish and his mum and dad. Pip and his parents came along too. Just as well it was just round the corner, as the roads are icy.

What a fabulous flat they have - huge cupboards everywhere, an en-suite, and even a private sunny south facing garden.

Hamish was scared of the champagne poppings! He has as many phobias as Archie. Both dogs disappeared to far corners of the flat for most of the night, only joining the humans later, when cheese was on offer. Archie absolutely LOVES Hamish and goes crazy when they meet in the street, but they just ignore each other at all other times. Weird. Pip was actually the only quite normal dog! I took this photo right at the end, Pip had gone home and Archie did NOT want to be so near his Big Pal…

We had a lovely evening, champagne and nibbles.

When we came home I watched the highlights of the England/France game, which is much the best way. Hard luck England, so near.
