Orphan lamb

The lamb was not actually orphaned but rejected by its mother as the runt of triplets. Our friends, to whom it belongs, have been feeding it with a bottle and it lives in the kitchen with their dogs. As long as there are human legs and feet it can follow the lamb is quite happy and wont stray far. It is safely put in a dog cage when the humans leave the kitchen or the house. One day it will go back with the others in a nearby field.

The other day in Dorchester I saw a crowd and focussed in on what they were staring at and it was a coal black lamb in a walking harness belonging to a little school boy who was taking it for a walk. It seemed perfectly calm and unworried by the attention it was attracting.
