Tradition......

We went to buy our Christmas tree this morning going, as we have done for the past 15 years , to the Forestry Commission pop up shop at Glenbranter.

The tradition - if it can be called that - started when I was Environment Minister and did a photo call during my first Christmas in the job, encouraging people to buy their trees from the Commission.   

My extra photo is one of the press pictures  from that day in December 2007  though I have been trying t- without success so far -t o find a better one which I know has forestry people in Christmas hats ! 

Anyway we were the first customer today, which is hardly surprising for even at 10.30 it was only minus 5 , with a very thick frost.
