Frozen no-dig

With the freezing cold weather (and lack of availability of cardboard boxes from the electric bike shop), the progress on this new no-dig area has been slow.

This is where I'm hoping to position my new composting bays but, for now, the first stage of the work is to add layers of cardboard and woodchips to level the area a bit. 

Everything's freezing over rapidly at the moment - which isn't all bad, as this lovely organic matter is keeping the soil (and soil life) covered and protected.
