MonoMonday: Eye

Carolina's mono challenge today is a close up of an eye.
This is a fly eye.
It was a pretty small fly and I was thinking a shot of one of the monster March flies that pester me at the farm at this time of year would have been good, much as I detest them. If they bite it stings and itches for ages. 
They are even worse than leeches, speaking of which I got three on me today. When I took my sock off at the pool it was full of blood and two fat ones fell out :-( The third was in an even worse spot so I won't elaborate.
Off now to the photogroup Christmas party and, as usual, I'm running late.
