St Mary Abbots, Kensington

A wonderful concert by candlelight this evening of Handel’s Messiah at St Mary Abbots Parish Church Kensington. Just Part 1. Part 2 will follow at Easter. It was sung by the church’s professional choir and accompanied by The Purcell Players. A super evening and our ticket included a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine. A very special third Sunday in Advent. Added to which, Ian our minister, and his wife, became first-time grandparents on Saturday morning. A little granddaughter. Beautiful.

We came out of the church to see the beginning of the snow, and many very excited tourists, or just happy people!

Arriving back to our local rail station, the snow was falling with a vengeance and there is now a fair settling.

Valerie has had a very happy birthday and sent a photo of all their family. Really pleased though that we didn’t join them.
