Today's the day .................... for a warm up

The outside temperature hovered around the -2°C mark today - and certainly never made it above freezing point.  

It's hard on the birds when it's as cold as this because they have to find food constantly to maintain their body heat.  But at the same time, their food sources are minimal and probably frozen as well - because it's winter.

Rocky Robin has it sussed though.  He has a routine of warm-up exercises - including this balancing act on the head of the other robin.  That gives him a great vantage point for swooping in and grabbing a bit of bread (wholemeal) off the log, before the other two get a look in.

Cunning, eh ......................?
