Today's the day .................. to be brave

Our coldest night yet - probably because the sky was so beautifully clear.  It continued that way all day too.

For the first time ever, I noticed two deer in the field to the left of these beech trees.  The field borders the road, so it was quite brave of them to come right out in the open, near to traffic and passers-by.  But that would be where the grass had thawed out in the sunshine - enough for them to have a nibble.

Hopefully there will be a bit of a rise in temperature at the weekend .................
