Holy Corner, Morningside

So cold! It was -6° first thing this morning. It seems particularly cruel that the whole country is in the grip of this freezing weather so early in the winter with the energy costs spiralling out of control.

The temperature crept up slightly during the morning to -1° in the sunshine which made for a pleasant walk to a restaurant at Holy Corner in Morningside for a Christmas lunch with some of the Maggie’s Kitchen Table group. We met in Zoom during Covid when we couldn’t go into Maggies and got on so well we meet in town about once a month.

When we finally got the bill sorted out to the restaurant’s satisfaction it was getting dark. The blip is the view of the SE corner of Holy Corner from the bus stop where I waited to get home.
