Alcazar

This morning we had a concert of early Spanish court music, as if to accompany a feast, in the courtyard of a nobleman's house. Lunch was a glass of dry manzanilla and a dish of olives (it's too hot to eat during the day - 33 degrees today). This afternoon we had a guided tour of the royal palace, the Alcazar. This photo is of one of the courtyards, built by Moorish architects and workmen for the Catholic monarchs, Ferdinand and Isabella. We go back to the Alcazar this evening for a concert of Moorish music, then dinner at 10pm - I might be hungry by then!
