Needle felt seascape
The weather on Monday was miserable: we missed the heavy Kent snowfalls reported on the news, which closed motorways a little further to the west and north, but a light covering of wet snow, mist and further intermittent sleet and snow falling discouraged me from setting foot outside.
J made the needle felt seascape with her PA some time ago, but I've only just got round to photographing it in a last minute rush to put together our annual calendar of J's creative work. She had done some wet and nuno felting before, and made little needle felt animals, but this was her first picture, inspired by a pack of felting yarn in many shades of blue and green which was a birthday present from her aunt. She's now trying to finish a landscape using lots of greens, which, like this one, will be a Christmas gift.
