Muted
Tuesday was very cold. A heavy overnight frost had turned the part melted snow into rivers of ice, making all the lanes and pavements treacherously slippery. My late morning walk was very slow going and I didn't get far: I wanted some air and exercise, but I really don't want to risk breaking anything. However, I did enjoy the muted colours of the landscape with its dusting of snow. This is the view from just outside our gate, with the lines of seeded grass clear against the snow, and soft greens and browns beyond. I'm now imagining this in needle felt.
