Woke up in Dunstable to thick snow. We had a short walk to drop off a couple of cards and a present then drove down to church. Once we were on the main road it was fine but all of the side roads are a bit dodgy. The funeral of our friend Ivy went very well and I think JP did brilliantly - it was just what Ivy would have wanted. Her son then wanted us to go up to the crematorium for a very short committal service there. The snow was even thicker up there but it all looked beautiful.
Back to the church then for sandwiches. So good to catch up with so many friends, even though it was such a sad occasion. Ivy was94 and so ready to go to her Lord that we couldn’t really be sad.
Drove home this evening - very cold but all the roads were clear.
