Swans on ice

The last day of the intense cold, if the forecast is accurate, although it’s due to snow tomorrow. I crunched my way to Pollokshields for a catch up and brunch at Ollie’s with P. P had a healthy option and I opted for a bacon roll.
I walked back via Maxwell Park where the large shallow pools of water on the grass had created a relatively risk free skating area, which was empty.
The two juvenile swans are still there standing efficiently on one leg on the ice which I’m told minimises heat loss.
