Garden Feeder

Today, back to birds. There was a burst of activity at the feeder which always brings the pigeons and other large birds pecking underneath to clean up the crumbs below. I decided however to home in on the two little birdies on high - a young greenfinch with its yellow-greenish feathers just appearing, and a chaffinch.

I experimented with various artistic filters of various strengths and have opted for this light sponge effect which gives a painterly look to a rather ordinary subject.
