Yay!

First time in four days that the temperature here has risen above zero.

Started off freezy frosty, then some snow, turned to slush and now rain. Wind picking up too. All that crispy frosts are now puddles.

Just along from our house there is a bend in the road. Someone took it today too fast for the conditions. Looks like an overcorrected  skid and they careened through a concrete and steel barrier and left overhanging a drop down to a stream. Substantial police presence. Thirty five years ago I saw my neighbour befall the exact same mishap at the same spot.
