12 years of blipping. How did that happen.
We woke to very heavy snow this morning.
Sensibly, people mostly stayed at home so there was very little traffic on the road. I phoned one of my Monday walking buddies to check she was okay and it turned out her heating boiler wasn’t working. So, Hubby and I went along but there was nothing obvious that seemed to be causing the problem.(She has phoned to advise that the boiler engineer reckons there is a leak under her floorboards and she has arranged for someone to call tomorrow).
On our way back we met two young girls whose car had got stuck in the snow. They were carers and had managed to get here but just outside the village the road was obviously more treacherous. Hubby tried to free the car but it was not going anywhere. They decided to walk to the shop for some provisions. Hopefully there would have been sufficient thaw to move the car when they returned.
We cleared a path through the driveway and then I cleaned the oven.
It looks very much like the rain may wash away the snow now however it was very deep and it may take a couple of days.
Had to add a few extras as the amount of snow took us by surprise.
