Wakefield Cathedral

Ten years ago, when I worked for Alzheimer's Society, I had an office in Wakefield and travelled there several times a week. I have also used Wakefield Westgate station as my point of departure on many of my trips to London.

In the last three years, I can probably count the number of visits I have made to Wakefield on one hand but this week I have visited  twice. 

Today it was good to revisit old haunts in daylight, but sad to see the decline in the city centre with a large number of shops empty including Debenhams which was the anchor store in the flagship Trinity Development.
