Globes-a-plenty

Spent a chunk of the day recommissioning the pool at Le Couvent for our lovely tenants. It's a big job to take the cover off, clean the whole of the pool and to jetwash the area around the outside. But luckily I had lots of help from the chaps who are staying.

Just as well given that the automatic pool cleaner, just back from a service failed to work. So it had to go back to the pool place in Pezenas.

But the real treat of the afternoon was taking a visit up to the vineyard potager. We're not using it this year so it's horribly overgrown, but look at these wonderful globe artichokes. I picked the biggest for supper tomorrow and will return for the others during the week. No-one's watered or tended them for months but still they come up trumps. Thank you lovely artichokes.
