Happy pattern

Well, today was one of these days where I really needed to get out of the house, and I wouldn't let not having a car stop me, so the kid and I took Cullaig and walked and walked, along the beach, along the fields and to the pier, which made today a good day. Most people wouldn't understand that for me going so far away from the house is a very difficult thing, but today it seemed easy - so that was good.

I took lots of photos of patterns in nature (today's DDW challenge being a "pattern") but it was this I liked most as I've always wanted to see a peacock feather up close - I found it at the Reading Room at the pier - which I only knew about from this blip by fellow Orkney dweller Poppy - even though it's like 10 minutes from my house! It was a most beautiful place with even a dog bed for my lovely boy :)
