Winter's Embrace

We've been in the grip of winter for the last week now - it's been getting down to -8C at night and barely above freezing at all during the day. Adding to which our boiler is still not behaving itself - we have hot water but the heating only seems to come on when it feels like it! I've loved my winter walks but the novelty does begin to wear off a bit when you feel cold outdoors and indoors!
Only popped out to get a quick blip today as my brother's not feeling too well bless him and I didn't want to leave him on his own.
Today's shot was taken in what used to be the grounds of Preston Hall, a local former manorial home and estate, which was sold off several years ago for housing. Most of the estate has disappeared under development long ago but there are still remnants of the old ornamental gardens including a rather spectacular fountain - and this is just one of several statues at the base of it. It does almost look like it's embracing the snow.
