Village lights
Today has been noticeably warmer (well relatively speaking, it was 4C) and by this afternoon the snow was finally starting to melt. Gavin and I walked Xena in the woods this morning, and some areas were still quite covered in snow.
Luke and Meriel had to get an Uber home (at an enormous cost) as the trains were not running today due to the strike. We went to a local café for lunch, they only serve vegan food there and their food is quite delicious. Meriel has attempted to go there a few times previously but it is always full but luckily I realised that they do take bookings so we managed to get a table today.
The Christmas lights in our high street look lovely so I wanted to get a photo of them. However it proved more difficult to photograph due to the bend in the road and I was not that happy with this scene but there really was no better position to photograph from.
Gavin is making a favourite vegan meal for supper - it is roasted spiced cauliflower, aubergine and red onions with (vegan) feta and toasted almonds on top with a delicious lemony type of dressing.
Only 8 more sleeps until Christmas, yikes it has crept up on us so quickly!
