The boys and girls

Tommy and Inca got the train back from London last night, and left the car with Luke who drove down much later as he was waiting for Meriel to get back from football - her train was cancelled so she was very much delayed. I only saw all of them this morning. Both girls went for a run, the boys did gym, and after everyone had done their thing this morning it was lunch time and we were booked in at a nearby pub for lunch.

While they were out running we had a call with a travel agent to see if we could get something together in time to replace our cancelled trip to Namibia - as the flights were already booked using avios points and companion vouchers it seemed a pity not to make use of these flights. It is one of the few times we have ever been able to use a companion voucher as usually for the flights we want they are not available on that flight.

The lunch was good, not as good as the usual pub we go to but not bad. They had good veggie options which was needed for both girls. It was a beautiful sunny day but by the time we came out the best of the light was gone. I managed to get this photo of the four of them against a wall of the pub.

We spent the afternoon at home, relaxing and chatting. They have now all left - Luke and Meriel have gone back to London, and Tommy has gone back with Inca at her family home as she has another week at an equine placement near there. The boys will be back home again on Friday for Christmas.

Gosh, only a week until Christmas, time has flown by!
