Lilacs first blooms!

It has rained for three days now off and on. It has really nourished all the buds in the trees and flowering bushes. Everything is suddenly alive and blooming.

I love lilacs in May. They always remind me of childhood days and bringing lilacs to school to adorn the May Shrine we made each year to honor Mary.

I took this photo of the lilacs starting to bloom. We waited so long this year!
