Wreath

Four candles have now been lit on the Advent wreath symbolising the four Sundays before Christmas Day. The wreath is deeply traditional, made of evergreen branches and displayed in churches and on front doors of people’s homes. Candles bring festive light, warmth and cheer.  This is a beautiful one in Chichester cathedral, a serene, space today of quiet and calm amidst the busy bustle of shoppers and holiday traffic outside.
