What struck my fancy

River Sligachan

A very wet day with low cloud and mist merging. Photography was difficult, a quick wipe of the lens, a snap, and keep repeating the process until a passable image resulted (or one became so wet as to give up). Never mind, the Isle of Skye is beautiful, tantalisingly so in misty conditions as her demure modesty reveals just a little to hint at her hidden beauty. So it is here with the hint of mountains in the background the closer ones being a little more visible than the just discernible ones beyond.

Melting snow and heavy rain have swollen the river to a roaring torrent as it speeds under the bridge and past the Sligachan Hotel, out of shot to my right. Temp was 12 deg C, yesterday it hovered around freezing.
