Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Archie and I took a walk down to the local hardware shop to buy a bulb. They always have what you need. Archie had a polaroid photo taken to add to the 60-odd other doggie visitors. It’s such a good idea (doggie treats) for a local shop. As we came back along the road, JR caught up with us, walking home from the gym, but she didn’t want to pop into the cafe, as she wanted to get to the supermarket. She came home, unloaded, and then went to the other supermarket. We’re ready for a siege.

Later, Archie and I walked round to the Links, and we called in to take Pip too, as he was coming to us later anyway. They are so easy to walk together, they just trot along one behind the other (Archie first) or one on either side (Pip always on the right).

In the afternoon I had a follow-up appointment with the boss physiotherapist. She told me that I’m down for a steroid injection, and have been since August, and it’s normally about nine months wait. I knew that was the next step, if the physiotherapy hadn’t helped, but I didn’t know I was already on the list. The physio said that she knows of many people who are completely fixed with this injection! So my fingers will be very tightly crossed from now till then! Which could be awkward.
