Calstock Lights
Sorry I've been absent - no particular reason! Friday was a miserable day weather wise and Saturday I had to take Oscar to the vets with a split nail and swollen pad - £50 for antibiotics and £45 for the 10 minute minutes it took! But at least I got to visit the delicatessen bought a Christmas tree with 20% off and some lovely cheeses!
Today was the second day of house cleaning and tidying - yesterday I decorated the tree, the kitchen and my sisters bedroom! The more I cleaned the more I found needing to be cleaned! Sister is arriving at around 8am from Bristol with Milkshake - the cat that was Friends but had to be given sanctuary from Oscar! She is being sedated for the journey as she doesn't like travelling - when she comes round and realises she is back with the dratted dog she will not be pleased!! As I am a night owl rather than an early bird I may well be asleep when she arrives! But I have given her the passcode to my keylock so she can let herself in!!!
My walk with Oscar was through the woods to Nellies house to collect their post. She and her family have gone to Holland for a week - her three children and the baby and pregnant girlfriend of her eldest son. The post has to be collected as it's put in an ice box which doesn't keep the slugs and snails out - so everything is liable to be munched!
It was a glorious sunny day with the sound of running water - streams had appeared after yesterdays torrential and prolonged rain!
I was going to blip some of the Advent windows in the village - but like my house the windows were covered in condensation! So its a blip of the Christmas lights!
