Lights, camera, action
Warning: another week of theatre blips is about to start.
At the theatre at 9am for the get in. Normally, I wouldn't be allowed to be at the theatre this early being one of the on-stage lot and all that. But they're transitioning me from on-stage to techie at my request due to the problems with my feet, so 9am it was to watch/assist with the lighting rigging. It's going to be a steep lighting curve. At 9am I basically knew that they were lights. By 10, I knew had been told but promptly forgotten the different types, changed lots of gels and assisted with the set up. Banned from constructing the scenery (they want me fit for the tech run tonight) so I took a trip out to a rather quaint aka posh local village to pick up a park bench. The director isn't happy with the colour, the owner doesn't want it painted even if it's painted back next Sunday. I suspect there might be a new bench by dress rehearsal. More watching of programming of lighting and then band call this afternoon. Unexpectedly that was done by 4:30 so I've managed to sneak home which is lucky as I'd run out of food and phone battery.
So cuppa, hot soak of the feet, food, ice, then back to the theatre for the tech. Now if somebody would pay me to do this........
