SUNDAY - North Wales

Catching up with my Blips.

After several days of sub-zero temperatures the morning rain turned to ice as soon as it hit the ground.

We had planned a few days away in North Wales, but  delayed out journey until 15:00 when temperatures had started to pick up. With the World Cup Final on TV, I expected the roads to be quiet but, in the event, it seems that most people weren't interested in France v. Argentina.

A wet drive over the Pennines to Manchester where temperatures were a balmy 5ºC, but by the time we reached North Wales it was dry but temperatures were down to 2ºC and some un-gritted roads were still sheets of ice.

Arrived safely at our destination.
