Caerwys - The smallest town with a Royal Charter
MONDAY - North Wales
An early start, and a full day working at our new house in North Wales.
We took a break midday and drove over to Caerwys for lunch. This is the view from the On The Corner Cafe.
Caerwys is the smallest town in the UK that holds a Royal Charter which was first granted in 1290.
Despite its small size, it has amenities such as a town hall, garage; cafe, shop; vets, pharmacy, hairdressers, deli and butchers (which also serves as post office), two public houses (The Royal Oak and The Piccadilly), a Primary School and chapel.
