Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

One item ticked off on the wish list!

Popped along to the Figgate Park this morning while it was still sunny - although the predicted rain has not materialised as yet. And it's quite warm (ish).

I got a bit closer to the goslings today, and got some cuddly group shots, but it was this one of the wee lone gosling heading out that seemed the most poignant. The water looks thick and oily like mercury. The rest of the family weren't far behind, but this wee chap seemed quite daring, and raring to go and find out about the big bad world. No doubt he'll soon meet that bully Mr Swan if he ventures too far. I do hope they all survive.

Been spending a lot of the weekend reading camera reviews. Of course, you just then get more confused. Then the camera I'd been checking on, the cheapest offer I could find, suddenly only had one left in stock. Decision time! So I took a deep breath, and clicked 'Add to basket'. Painless. So I won't be setting foot outside next week, I'd hate to be out when it arrives. How exciting.

One down on the wish list - camera, house with garden, dog.

Talking of the list... popped in to view a flat nearby. We knew we shouldn't have, because it was absolutely perfect! If I said that about the last couple of flats we've visited, then that wasn't true - this one really IS perfect. Walled back garden - complete with shed! nice conservatory, great area... *sniff*

Popped in to see Uncle A and brought some sweeties. Wether's Originals, of course.

I'm off to sit and drool over the schedule for the flat with garden for sale. And quietly weep.
