Afternoon walk

Woke to rain on the window.  Caught up with some household tasks in the morning.  Took Kyro for brief walk during a dry interval before lunch.

WhatsApped a friend to have an afternoon walk and drop in a Christmas card.  

Walked with Kyro to friend's house as rain resumed.  Forgot card.  In drizzle we walked round a nearby cemetery spotting headstones of people we'd known personally or heard of during our time in the city.  Rain did eventually cease.

We'd walked for nearly two hours.  Phone app stated that I'd walked 10,351 steps today.  Hound was exhausted and occupied the sofa while I made a coffee before preparing dinner.

Within half an hour he'd got his energy back.  Wolfed his dinner before resuming his sofa place.

Evening filled out questionnaire on congestion charging to register my antipathy.  Tedious exercise for an ill thought proposal masquerading as concern for congestion and pollution when residents would be equally charged for leaving the city without even entering the centre and causing congestion.  It's a moneygrabbing exercise claiming it will fund bus services provided by a bus company which has : already cut 18 services and raised fare.  Call me cynical.
