Happy Mother's Day!

Even if you've never been a mother, you've had one, so celebrate the wonderfulness of mothers.

Today's weather is simply gorgeous. Clear, blue sky, warm, nice breeze. I grabbed a colleague who is also apart from her children today, and walked up to Ulus to indulge in a pedicure. C. decided to get her hair cut, and I ended up getting the works - mani, pedi, hair cut and colour. I haven't launched out like that in the whole time I've been here, and it was great.

On the way back, I noticed a quiet lovely rose garden just inside the school's top gate. People will most often whiz by it in their cars, but I stopped for a smell and a photo.

So there, we all got roses for Mother's Day
