Are We Safe Yet?

In November 2003, three suicide bombings shook Istanbul. Hezbollah, PKK, Al Qaeda? It really doesn't matter now. People died; many more were badly injured. The blast was close enough to be heard on campus. Security was ramped up. More guards, a truly vicious dog, and razor wire were deployed. Funny how seeing them never makes me feel safe.
