Middle Temple Hall 21/12/22

The Middle Temple Hall is magnificent. Completed in 1573 it is 100ft long 40ft wide and 59ft high at the apex of the famous double hammer-beam roof. The roof is fascinating but difficult to photograph- while doing my best with it I spotted something I had not noticed before - at the apex there is a small octagon - nowhere near as magnificent as the one I am familiar with at Ely Cathedral but a beautiful little treasure.
