Bearing In Mind The Possibility Of Polar Opposites

Today was supposed to be a day of Christmas shopping - leaving it until five days before Christmas is not ideal but the vast majority of the yuletide food and booze has been procured so if nothing else we'll be fat and sozzled! :-)
Needless to say I got waylaid by trying to get my blip image for the day - well that and stopping for a pint and some chips - the complete opposite of what I'd intended. So I ended up only getting one Christmas present but at least I got a shot of this polar bear in a shopping centre!

So sad to hear of the passing of Terry Hall - the singer and musician in two iconic bands of the early 80's - The Specials and Fun Boy Three. They really were part of the soundtrack to my youth.
Just naming some of their tracks brings back so many memories -  for The Specials this includes "A Message To You, Rudy" and "Too Much Too Young" and for Fun Boy Three "The Tunnel Of Love" and "Our Lips Are Sealed" (co-written with Jane Wiedlin of The Go Go's) as well as their collaborations with Bananarama "Really Saying Something" and "It Ain't What You Do (It's The Way That You Do It)".
The seminal track though surely has be The Specials "Ghost Town" from  1981 with its accompanying legendary video -
