Deliveries

I couldn't wake up this morning so it was mid-morning when I got to the office to try and knock some more items off the To Do list, despite it being my "day off". 

I nipped home for something at lunch time and discovered a flowers by post box on my doorstep, it was soaking wet. I took it in and opened it and there was a lovely bouquet of flowers, just the right colour for my room. I put them in a vase. There was also a box of chocolates and a card. I opened the card ... only to discover they weren't for me! I looked at the address label, the address was right, with my number, but the name was wrong. They were for my neighbour 4 doors away! I re-packaged everything and did a delivery this evening. Pity, the flowers were beautiful.

When I got home later I discovered another delivery on my doorstep. There was no note on this one but I know, from experience, they are for me from one of the local farmers. The old farmer died this year but it is nice not to have been forgotten.
